Arjun Reddy Lesson for Nag But Damage Already Done

Something sensational has happened in Kollywood, the makers of Varma, the Official Tamil Remake of Arjun Reddy have announced that they are shelving the project after they see the output is not good. They have announced reshooting the film with a new director and release it in June.

Senior Director Bala helmed the Original version. So this decision is sensational in many ways. Grapevine is that Chiyaan Vikram watched the first copy of the film and felt it does not do justice to the debut film of his son, Dhruv. He urged the makers to go for the kill and assured them he is there for the financial issues.

This is a stunning decision by Vikram which Nagarjuna did not do for Akhil’s debut movie, Akhil – The Power of Jua. He should have intervened when things are going haywire and ensure that his son gets a perfect launchpad. But he chose to promote the film and distance himself from the failure.

Akhil failure effect is still seen on the Akkineni Young Hero and as a result, even the next films are not performing to their potential. Even though those films are also not great, it is obvious that they are not performing even up to the range of the film’s content. So, that mistake of Nagarjuna is still haunting Akhil.
