AVAK Pits Small Films Against OTT

Vishwak Sen’s Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is a film that was promoted a lot by creating various controversies. Luckily, things helped and as the film also had decent content, the word of mouth is pretty decent.

As two other films Bhala Thandanana and Jayamma Panchayathi bombed and big films like KGF 2 has slowed down, AVAK has been picking up well in several areas. The film had sold-out shows in a big theater-like Jagadamba in Vizag which proves how well the family audiences are encouraging this small film.

In the US too, the film’s occupancy is decent and the film is doing well. Post the pandemic, there were doubts that small films will not be encouraged anymore in theaters after films like RRR, and KGF 2 and the low-budget film will be watched on OTT.

But this small film came with zero hype and is giving hope to several other small and medium films hope that if the content is decent and promoted well, the audience will surely lap it up and watch them on the big screens.
