A shocking cheating case has surfaced in Hyderabad involving Ashu Reddy, with police registering a complaint alleging that she defrauded a London-based software engineer of Rs. 9.35 crore under the pretext of marriage.
According to officials from the Hyderabad Central Crime Station, the complaint was filed by Satyanarayana, a resident of Shaikpet and father of the alleged victim, Y. V. Dharmendra. Dharmendra, who works in London as a software engineer, is said to have met Ashu Reddy in 2018 during a visit to India. As per the complaint, the two developed a close relationship, during which she allegedly promised to marry him.
The family claims that over the next several years, from 2018 to 2025, Dharmendra spent heavily on her. This reportedly included purchasing luxury cars, gifting around five kilograms of gold, and even buying multiple residential properties, all said to be registered in her name. The complaint states that after these transactions, Ashu Reddy allegedly backed out of the marriage commitment, leading the family to approach the police.
The allegations do not stop there. The complaint also names her sister, accusing her of taking Rs. 50 lakhs from Dharmendra and not returning the amount.
Based on these claims, police have registered a case against Ashu Reddy and her family members, and an investigation is now underway. Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Chaitanya Kumar confirmed that authorities are examining financial records, transaction details, and other evidence. He described the case as one arising out of a personal relationship but emphasized that the scale of the alleged financial dealings has made it serious.
Ashu Reddy has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.
At this point, the case remains under investigation, and the claims made in the complaint are yet to be proven in court. More clarity is expected as authorities continue to examine the evidence and record statements.
