Avengers Doomsday: Biggest Feud, No Plan, No Hype?

Marvel is shaping Avengers Doomsday around a conflict between Captain America and Doctor Doom, even though they never met in the MCU. You will see Steve Rogers treated as Doom’s biggest enemy. The story will blame Steve’s decision in Endgame for breaking the timeline.

Doom reportedly believes that Steve’s personal choice with Peggy Carter destroyed his own reality. You will watch a rivalry grow from consequences instead of past interactions. That creates high stakes without any shared history.

A 1970s sequence is expected where Doom confronts Steve and Peggy. It retrofits a first meeting and changes what you know about the MCU timeline. Marvel has used such retroactive storytelling earlier and is expanding the method here.

Everything depends on how strongly the story handles emotion. Doom needs a powerful reason for revenge. Steve must accept that his greatest happiness caused disaster. If Marvel gets this right, you get an intense conflict. If not, the feud will look forced.
