The fourth teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has quickly become one of Marvel’s most discussed leaks. It surfaced online around January 5 and 6, ahead of its planned theatrical release with Avatar: Fire and Ash screenings, sparking intense discussion about the film’s direction.
Marvel acted fast to remove the leaked footage, but key details spread widely. Unlike earlier teasers focused on legacy Avengers, Thor, or the X Men, this preview shifts attention to Wakanda and its unexpected alliance with the Fantastic Four.
The teaser is anchored by Shuri, now fully established as the Black Panther. Her voiceover reflects themes of loss, responsibility, and readiness. The visuals highlight scale, with Shuri and King M’Baku leading the Dora Milaje across a vast desert setting.
Namor and Namora appear briefly, reinforcing the fragile alliances formed after Wakanda Forever. A standout moment shows M’Baku introducing himself to Ben Grimm. The exchange is brief and lightly humorous, grounding the crossover in character driven interaction.
Doctor Doom is notably absent, despite Robert Downey Jr.’s widely reported casting. This appears to be a deliberate choice. The marketing focuses on unity across worlds, keeping the central antagonist hidden for now.
Audience reactions remain mixed over how much the teaser reveals. Still, many agree the Wakanda and Fantastic Four connection hints at bold cross franchise storytelling. With all four teasers released, attention has shifted firmly to what follows.
Industry buzz suggests a full trailer may debut during the Super Bowl in February. If confirmed, it could offer the first clear look at the scale and stakes of Avengers: Doomsday, setting expectations for Marvel’s most ambitious event film yet.
