In the wake of his resolution to bring down piracy, Vishal has decided a total shutdown of all the activities of production and release of Tamil films in Tamil Nadu. He called for an indefinite strike from 30th May onwards demanding government to take stringent measures against piracy and also on hiking the ticket prices.

That means, films like ‘Baahubali 2‘ which raking moolah at the ticket windows have to shut down if the strike comes into force. Nevertheless, theatre owners aren’t in a mood to shut down theatres when the summer season is the best season for business. Let’s see if Vishal can amass support from all quarters.
