Baahubali Writer for Director Shankar’s Sequel

Way back, director Shankar’s ‘Oke Okkadu’ was remade in Hindi as ‘Nayak’ starring Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in the lead. A sequel is on cards for this film and there are no prizes for guessing Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad is going to pen the script for the sequel.

Another Bollywood movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’ featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as the main leads will also get a sequel. This Hindi movie was the remake of Rajamouli’s ‘Vikramarkudu’, which went on to become a blockbuster. Remake for this movie is also on cards. It’s Vijayendra Prasad to pen the script for this sequel, as well.

Post the success of ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Baahubali’, the writer became one of the most sought after ones in Bollywood. He is already into Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’ and also a television magnum opus ‘Aarambh’, repeating Devasena character in the latter. Success came late for this writer, but it came with a bang.
