It’s Not a Boothu Film – Avasarala

“My film is not a boothu film. In fact, it is a part of life. There is a lot of boothu in many films which don’t come with an adult tag,” is the explanation of Avasarala Srinivas while talking about his upcoming adult comedy ‘Babu Baaga Busy‘.

“If my film is boothu, even the great literary work ‘Kanayasulkam’ is also boothu.” He explains how we have romanticised abusing and stalking a girl in our films and hence we accept the hero of a film to stalk his girl and use abusive language like ‘Osey’ quite conveniently and these things are accepted as natural as we got used to them as being natural.

“Here, my character isn’t going to show boothu throughout and start sermonising at the end,” said Srinivas who wants the audiences to understand that the so-called vulgarity they are talking about in ‘Babu Baaga Busy’, is the part of our lives and hence it is natural. Moreover, he doesn’t want to get into the framework of an image.
