Given the current trend and the audience’s excitement, if director Sai Rajesh decides to make a film called ‘Baby 2,’ it will instantly become a hot cake in the trade.

These days, sequels are not necessarily made due to cliffhangers. Films like HIT 2, recent Bichagadu opened to bigger numbers without having direct sequel content. They capitalized on the recognition gained from the original title. Tillu Square also belongs to this category.

If Sai Rajesh chooses to create an entirely fresh and hard-hitting story and names it ‘Baby 2,’ the job is done. The movie would generate twice the buzz compared to ‘Baby’ as the original has already become a talking point, and the title ‘Baby’ carries value.

There is a huge vacuum for unconventional and hard-hitting love stories in Telugu cinema. While the Tamil industry explores this genre, Telugu films are lacking in this aspect.
