Jagan can be rest assured, Satyam Raju gets bail

A metropolitan Court in Hyderabad suspended the seven years rigorous punishment and granted the Satyam brothers and other convicts bail. It has been only a month since Ramlinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju were convicted and pronounced seven years jail by the ACMM Court and now the Metropolitan Court has suspended the jail sentence.

The fraud case on Satyam brothers and nine others took many turns and Satyam brothers even agreed commiting fraud but pleaded innocence and not guilty. Satyam brothers have to merely furnish Rs.1lakh bond and two surities for the same amount. This was entirely a big surprise for the commoners for how the course of trails is shaping up in the country.

This is the third of it’s kind within one week. After a big disappointment in the case of Salman Khan’s sentence being suspended and Jayalalitha coming out clean and acquitted of all the charges, it’s like a big confusion for the common people. How years of court’s trail and verdict hold no good in the course of law!

Is our judiciary making it crystal clear that celebrities and powerful people can forgo any verdict given by the lower courts and get scot free in the higher courts of law? Would Jagan’s cases also follow the same route? Can we expect something fair from our judiciary? Back to back, the above said three ruling by different courts are indirectly posing bigger questions on the functioning of our judiciary.
