Balakrishna In Malayalam-Style Real Cinema?

Prithviraj Sukumaran is hitting headlines as he is busy promoting his latest film, The GOAT Life, and fans are buzzing about his remarkable physical transformation for the role.

In a recent interview, he opened up about the grueling process, revealing that he endured 72-hour fasts not once, but twice, due to pandemic-related delays in filming. According to Prithviraj, this extreme measure was necessary to achieve the desired look.

But that’s not all Prithviraj discussed in the interview. He also shared his desire to direct Telugu superstar Balakrishna in a project that breaks away from the typical masala action genre.

Instead, Prithviraj envisions a no-nonsense, authentic Malayalam-style commercial film for Balakrishna, a departure from his usual roles.

Balakrishna’s acting prowess is undeniable, and with the guidance of a skilled director, he can deliver the sky. There’s a wealth of untapped potential waiting to be uncovered, eagerly awaiting the right script and directorial vision to bring out the best in him.

Prithviraj Sukumaran has already proven himself as a sensible and skilled filmmaker, as evidenced by his work in “Lucifer.” The prospect of him directing Balakrishna in a compelling, hard-hitting film sounds exciting.

If the project materializes, it can turn out to be a surprise treat for Telugu audiences, offering a fresh perspective and a showcase of Balakrishna’s immense talent under Prithviraj’s direction.
