Don’t Trouble The Trouble: Only Two Spoke About Balakrishna

There was one noticeable omission at the Don’t Trouble The Trouble pre-release event. Balakrishna’s name barely entered the conversation, despite the film carrying one of his most popular dialogues as its title and using his voice for the Telugu trailer.

The connection is too direct to miss. The phrase “Don’t trouble the trouble” became widely recognised through Balakrishna, and the makers built their film title around it. They then took the association a step further by bringing Balakrishna on board for the Telugu trailer voice-over. His voice became one of the promotional highlights even before the film reached theatres.

Yet during the major speeches at the Hyderabad event, Balakrishna name was not part of the conversation. NTR spoke emotionally about his journey, Karthikeya and the Rajamouli family, while Rajamouli focused on the film, Fahadh Faasil and Karthikeya. Karthikeya too spoke about the making of the film and his journey as a producer. None of them brought up Balakrishna in their speeches.

The only notable mentions came from M.M. Keeravani and Shobu Yarlagadda. That makes the silence from the other key speakers even more noticeable, especially because Balakrishna’s dialogue is directly tied to the film’s identity.

This does not necessarily suggest that anyone intentionally left him out. The speeches had their own focus and plenty of emotional moments. Still, from a promotional standpoint, the event had a ready-made story: how a famous Balakrishna dialogue became a film title and how Balakrishna himself eventually gave that title his voice.
