Behind one’s back: Delhi police fearing mobiles

While the World is finding ways to become more and more transparent, Delhi Police are finding innovative ways to cover up their corruption. All the Police stations in the national capital have banned the complainants bringing mobile phones, pens and diaries to police stations fearing they may be used to record the actions of cops.

Irony is that the same Delhi Police have unleashed a marathon advertising campaign asking citizens to record bribe demands and complain on the helpline and WhatsApp number to report cases of corruption. While the Delhi Police remained tight-lipped over this rule, already the Police Stations have put up a notice on the list of items banned outside the police station for the convenience of visitors.

They even went a step ahead to frisk the visitors to make sure they do not bring the banned items secretly. There also instances of Police men meeting complaints in public areas instead of the Police station. EVen then they make sure the complainants do not carry Mobile phones. Mr.Kejriwal, Delhi need answers!
