Beware of Outrageous comments on social media

Telangana Police off late had recognized the role of social media in surging the unrest with provocative comments. In order to reign this menace, Cyberabad and Hyderabad Police along with the state intelligence, started an initiative to track Facebook and other social media.

Police had found that there are several groups operated by students and other youngsters who make outrageous comments on controversial issues leading to religion and caste conflicts. Many times these online conflicts are resulting conflicts in physical world too.

As of now, Police are letting off the miscreants with warnings but are gearing to book cases under 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth and others) of IPC, if they do not mend their ways.
