Pushpa 2 is one of the biggest hits from the industry and is on its way to gather 600 or 700 crores at the box office. But people are confused about why Salaar Couldn’t not be as big as Pushpa 2.
Salaar was made with a lot of passion and dedication and there was much more effort on its world-building and plotline. Pushpa 2, despite its big success, is being tagged as a second rate movie with mass appeal only to people with lower expectations.
True cinephiles and people who understand the craft of cinema have condemned the messed up making of Pushpa 2. Critics also say that it could have been made in a lot better way.
Salaar not making more than 150 crores in the Hindi version owes its failure to the timing. It was released alongside Dunki and both films failed to make a mark. People are saying that if the movie were to have a solo release it would have a much better response.
Pushpa 2 being such a blockbuster does not mean it is a technically well made film. The hero worship and grandeur had an appeal to the audiences from northern India, which, if marketed well enough, could have been so for Salaar too.
