Biggest Jinx for Salman Khan’s Tiger 3

Salman Khan is desperately seeking a blockbuster hit, as his track record hasn’t seen genuine success in over six years. His previous four films, namely Dabanng 3, Radhe, Antim, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, all met with disastrous fate at the box office.

His next hope lies in “Tiger 3,” the highly anticipated fifth installment of YRF’s spy franchise, set to release on November 12. Salman has placed all his expectations on this film to rejuvenate his career and secure his place in Bollywood for a few more years.

However, Tiger 3 appears to be grappling with a huge jinx. Historically, Salman Khan’s attempts at creating third installments in film franchises have resulted in disappointments, such as “Race 3” and “Dabanng 3.” Tiger 3 is the third part of the Tiger series, following “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Tiger Zinda Hai.”

Furthermore, the third installments of many Bollywood franchises have struggled to match the quality and entertainment of their predecessors, examples being “Dhoom 3,” “Housefull 3,” “Race 3,” “Dabangg 3,” and “Baaghi 3.”

Concerningly, the advance bookings for “Tiger 3” are not gaining momentum. Pre-sales, especially in the three major national multiplex chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), remain sluggish.

Ticket sales have only reached 1.2 lakh, significantly behind “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” which had almost touched 3 lakh ticket sales in the same timeframe. “Tiger 3” is currently projected to open at 35 crores net, a mere 60% of what “Jawan” or “Pathaan” achieved.

One can only hope that “Tiger 3” manages to generate positive word-of-mouth and break the ‘third-part’ jinx, ultimately becoming a success for Salman Khan’s career.
