Biopics on accused celebs -Do we need them?

Bollywood film makers have a penchant for making biopics and recently we have seen biopics of famous sports personalities like Milkha Singh and Mary Com. Now the biopic of tainted cricketer, former captain of team India Azharuddin is already in the making.

One more biopic is on cards and that is on Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt who was convicted in Mumbai blasts for possession of illegal arms used by the terrorists during those bomb blasts. While he is shuffling between jail and home on paroles, Bollywood film maker Rajkumar Hirani.

The film is going to commence in 2016 and Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is going to enact the character of the convicted superstar. Both Azharuddin andSanjay Dutt have tainted past and had been the accused. Biopics on Milkha Singh and Mary Com inspire people. But do we need biopics of tainted celebs to immortalise their version of defending themselves for committing unpardonable mistakes?
