Blessing In Disguise For Prabhas? But…

Prabhas has been in action mode for a long time now. All of his recent films after Baahubali 2, including Saaho, Adipurush, and Salaar have been in action mode. There was Radhe Shyam which was out of the action genre, but this film is a bummer in every sort.

This is when Prabhas lined up the film with Maruthi which was immensely dissociated by fans at first. But this might well turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Prabhas’s fans from a place they are least expecting.

In his media interaction today, Maruthi said Prabhas told him no other Telugu director explored this side of his. He implied that Prabhas is impressed with this filming and the film has a lot of potential.

At the basic level, Maruthi can perhaps churn out a good comedy caper if he is rightly focused. This was seen in the case of Mahanubhavudu and Bhale Manchi Roju. The idea will be to replicate something like this with Prabhas but on a bigger stage.

Maruthi has a decent skillset and if he can sincerely put up a good comedy caper with Prabhas, it could work well. After Prabhas’s action overdose of late, most recently with Salaar, he can make do with a comedy caper that provides entertaining relief. This can be a changeover for him. Though fans are thoroughly against the film, it is happening whether they like it or not, and in the best-case scenario, it can be changeover comedy caper, if Maruthi can deliver.
