I Was Bothered About The Director’s Age – Senior Hero

When it comes to talent, one can’t say that only years of experience makes a talented person master his craft. The same thing is proved by a young filmmaker Karthick Naren who delivered a super ‘Pathinaaru Dhuruvangal’ dubbed into Telugu as ‘D 16’.

Initially, senior hero Rehman who played the protagonist had his reservations to accept the offer. First thing, he didn’t want to do a cop movie as he has done many in the recent times. The second thing that bothered him the most is the director’s age.

He was just 21 and Rehman had seen many young filmmakers who had gone wrong during the execution of their stories because of their unprofessionalism though they were good while narrating a script. So, he had his reservations even though he started liking the script after several sittings.

Then, the filmmaker brought his entire team, the editor, the cameraman etc. who explained every scene using the technicalities and animation like they do in Hollywood. Impressed, Rehman accepted the movie and today, he says it had been a learning experience for him to work with youngsters who were thoroughly professional and had everything sorted out and planned before the movie went on floors.
