Boycott Batch’s Destruction At Pathaan Theatre

The Bollywood boycott batch was particularly active about Pathaan. They took offense to the saffron-colored bikini sported by Deepika and made so big of an issue out of it that the makers had to remove this bit from the final copy.

But that didn’t stop the boycott batch from coming down against Pathaan. Incidentally, they even created destruction at a theater in Hyderabad, screening Pathaan.

Going into the story, Bajrang Dal activists in Hyderabad tore down the flexi of Pathaan at the newly renovated Tarakarama theater in Kachiguda, Hyderabad. They are also seen shouting Jai Shri Ram while tearing the poster.

They are seen carrying saffron flags and shouting Vande Mataram while tearing down the posters of Pathaan.

But on the box office front, these boycott calls had no impact whatsoever. The film has reportedly opened on a record-breaking level with over Rs 50 crores nett reported on the opening day. If anything, a few say that these boycott calls in turn helped the film in gaining more buzz and attention.
