Can Chiranjeevi's elevation save Congress?

Congress is beaten to death in Andhra Pradesh post the state bifurcation. The party seem to have pinned hopes on Chiranjeevi to save it in the state. However, Chiranjeevi, the Rajya Sabha member from Congress is being away from the party affairs after the elections.

He is also making arrangements to restart his filmy career. Congress Party is planning to elevate Chiranjeevi to create political interest in him. It is said that Congress is planning to take him in to Congress Working Committee or AICC which is the apex position in the party.

The reorganization may take place after Sankranthi. KVP Rama Chandrarao is also likely to get a berth. However Chiranjeevi himself is suffering from slump in his image in public post his political debacle. Banking on him for political gains may not be a wise thing. But having said that Congress do not have a better choice too.
