Can Devara 2 Be A Pushpa 2?

The stage is firmly set for the debut of Pushpa on the 5th of coming month which is just a week from now. Ahead of the same, let us have a look at whether NTR’s Devara 2 can ever be a Pushpa 2.

The makers marketed Pushpa 2 as a Rs 1000 crore film with all the theatrical deals and non theatricals. This branding helped in giving the film a larger look than the actual vibe of the proceedings.

Box office wise, Devara 1 is a bigger hit than Pushpa 1. But the mass penetration and the unprecedented reach for the mannerisms and songs of Pushpa are miles ahead of Devara. This is the decisive difference between Devara 2 and Pushpa 2.

On OTT, Pushpa 1 was a raging success while Devara went the exact opposite and couldn’t make any noise. So the sustainability of Devara 2 has taken a huge beating already.

More importantly, the way Allu Arjun is promoting and marketing Pushpa 2 with full efforts is something that NTR can’t be relied on, considering the lack of as much interest. Even for Devara, Tarak wrapped it up with a few customary interviews and that’s about it.

As things stand, Pushpa 2 is much bigger product and prospect that Devara 2, considering the way it was strategically placed in the market by Mythri and the consistent campaign push done by Allu Arjun. If NTR takes as much interest in Devara 2, he too can pull off something similar but that really is a big “If”.
