Can Hanu Raghavapudi Fix What Went Wrong with Prabhas?

For the first time in a long time, there is genuine curiosity about whether Prabhas can bring back the actor audiences loved before Baahubali. The latest buzz around Fauzi is making exactly that claim.

According to an industry source, Fauzi could redefine Prabhas’ image so strongly that it may later be seen as the real beginning of his next phase. Other reports are also calling it his best performance, even surpassing Baahubali, especially praising his emotional and dramatic scenes. That sounds exciting, but some caution is needed.

Several social media accounts have suddenly started sharing almost the same praise about Fauzi. This could mean genuine inside information is reaching them, but it could also be part of a coordinated promotional campaign. Until the film releases, claims that Fauzi is a career-defining masterpiece should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Before Baahubali, Prabhas showed much more range. Films like Chatrapathi, Bujjigadu, and Mirchi had aggression, comedy, romance, and emotion. After Baahubali, his films became much bigger, but his performances often became less convincing. Saaho, Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, and the latest The Raja Saab completely failed to bring back that old spark. Salaar showed glimpses of it, but much of the character worked because of Prashanth Neel’s presentation and the limited dialogues given to Prabhas.

Fauzi could be different. As a film about a soldier set in the pre-Independence period, it gives Prabhas the opportunity to perform beyond action and screen presence. We have to wait and see if the emotional portions are genuinely as strong as reported and whether Hanu Raghavapudi has truly extracted a great performance from Prabhas.

The hype may be genuine, promotional, or somewhere in between. But if Prabhas truly delivers the performance being promised, Fauzi could give him something bigger than another blockbuster. It could bring back the actor audiences missed after Baahubali. Fauzi is scheduled for December 3, 2026.
