Can Janhvi Match Samantha Or Rashmika?

The makers of Janhvi Kapoor’s debut Telugu film, “Devara,” have unveiled her first look. The photo was taken on the film’s set in Goa as she commences her role in this eagerly anticipated pan-Indian action drama.

Janhvi will portray a character named Thangam. In the first look, she is seen in a half saree, portraying a village belle with grace and style.

The director, Koratala Siva, emphasized Janhvi’s crucial role in the film’s narrative. It’s speculated that her character’s name, Thangam, was inspired by her mother Sridevi’s character in her childhood movie, “En Annan.”

In the recent past, Samantha as Ramalakshmi in Rangasthalam and Rashmika as Srivalli in Pushpa made a significant impact as innocent rural cuties. Especially, Rashmika’s role became popular with the North audience thanks to songs like Na Saami and Srivalli, though her performance wasn’t anything great.

Now Janhvi Kapoor will be seen as a girl from a rural background and will be romancing NTR. This is her first proper role as a sing-n-dance heroine in a film. It will be interesting to see her matching steps with a dancer like NTR in the songs.

We have to see if she can create a better mark than Samantha or Rashmika in Devera.
