Can Kick 2 make RT on top of ‘that’ generation?

Technically speaking Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja belongs to no particular generation of stars. He attained his stardom pretty late and by that time both the younger and older generations were set. As time progressed he was slowly clubbed with the older generation of stars that consists of Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh.

There were multiple occasions where Ravi Teja was pitted with Balakrishna and he emerged as winner. Who can forget the Okkamagadu versus Krishna for Sankarnthi 2008 where the underdog Krishna emerged as a major winner? Not only that Ravi Teja also had more 20 Cr plus films compared to the stars of that generation back then.

However Nandamuri Balakrishna once again took the lead with two Boyapati Sreenu films where he breached new benchmarks of 30 Cr and 40 Cr respectively. Ravi Teja meanwhile saw a huge career slump and is yet to touch 30 Cr. He came close to the mark with Balupu but felt short by pretty small margin.

After a gap Ravi Teja again has chance to go one up on that generation of stars with Kick 2. The film certainly has missed the hotness quotient due to delay but it could be overcome if the talk for the film comes positive. Can Kick 2 take him to the top again? We will know in know few hours.
