Can Maruthi Convince Top Heroine for Prabhas?

Prabhas’ long-delayed horror-comedy Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, is finally picking up pace.

After months of slow progress, the film is gearing up for a fresh shooting schedule starting in the first week of July, with Prabhas set to join. Once this phase is complete, only the songs will remain to be filmed.

Among them, one song is generating particular buzz—an item number being specially crafted to match Prabhas’ mass appeal.

Initially, music director Thaman considered remixing a popular Bollywood track for the sequence. However, he has now opted for an original, high-energy number instead.

What’s grabbing attention now is the speculation around the actress who will feature in this special song.

Earlier reports claimed that Nayanthara was approached for the role, but it’s now confirmed that she turned down the offer. With Raja Saab on pause for a while and Prabhas busy with Fauji, the topic had lost steam—until now.

With shooting back on track, the item song is once again in discussion, and this time with a surprising twist: Kareena Kapoor. According to speculations, director Maruthi is keen on casting the Bollywood star and has reportedly initiated talks.

Kareena, known for her iconic item numbers like Fevicol Se and Chammak Challo, has recently shifted focus to more content-driven roles.

It remains to be seen whether she’ll accept this offer, given her current film choices. If she does, it would be a major casting coup and significantly boost Raja Saab’s nationwide appeal.

For now, fans are eagerly waiting to see who will share the screen with Prabhas in this much-anticipated number.

It’s been a long time since Prabhas has featured in an out-and-out mass item song, so it would be a treat not just for his fans but for all cinema lovers.
