Let’s just face it, the film Baahubali was thought by many as insurmountable in terms of numbers, be it the opening day or opening or finally the long run. This impossible feat is getting slowly proved to be wrong and how!

First, the film Sardaar Gabbar Singh showed with its opening that Baahubali can be beaten in terms of openings. The film beat Baahubali in four out of eight territories and with better planning it could have gone all the way based on trade reports. Now Tarak has done the same with his Janatha Garage. These films show that with the right combination opening day figures are achievable.

But still, the difficult part isn’t over as far as scaling Baahubali is concerned. No film has so far come close to first-week figures of Baahubali so far in any area. But finally with Janatha Garage looks like even this seemingly impossible feat can be achieved. Going by the current trend, the first-week record in Uttar Andhra looks possible, beating Baahubali if Janatha Garage manages to hold well in next two days.

Yes, there are few “if’s” but if we consider the fact that film has average word of mouth at best, this looks sensational achievement. It makes one believe that with better talk, first week records of Baahubali too can be broken. Again, well done Tarak!
