Google rigging search results?

Search Engine Giant, Google was accused of rigging its search results. This was not a layman’s accusation as it comes from the Competition Commission of India (CCI). Several business including Flipkart and Facebook raised the complaint.

CCI had accused Google of abusing its dominant position to rig search outcomes which also include the actual search results and sponsored links. This is the first such case with Google across the globe filed by an anti-trust body.

Google was given time till September 10th to file its response before the seven-member commission headed by Chairman Ashok Chawla. Google is assessing the complaint and said they are operating following prescribed Indian laws.
