Censor Board Copies on Torrent Sites!

Getting a pirated copy online after the film’s release has become something like regular. Nowadays, pirated copies are making to online even before the theatrical release. It came as a shock for TFI when a pirated version of ‘Atharintiki Daredi’ was found online even before the film’s release date was announced.

Many of the recent blockbusters in various film industries like ‘Premam’ in Malayalam, ‘Sairat’ in Marathi and many others were also victims of piracy before release. How are the pirates acquiring the copies? It comes as a shock to know that some of the copies sent to Censor Board for certification were available on Torrent sites.

It’s a matter of safety and people think that Censor Board will be vigilant enough to keep the copies secured. But some movies on torrent sites have the watermark of Censor Board. However, Censor Bord denies such allegations that copies of films are unsafe when sent for certification.
