Challenging Himself: NTR Did Away with the Masks

During the making of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, in the initial days, a few pics were leaked in which we saw some prosthetic masks made for NTR’s triple roles. But, when we watched the movie after release, we didn’t find NTR using them for any of his characters.

There had been a lot of appreciation for the masks. According to our opinion, not using masks was a good decision. Masks conceal the natural emotion and inhibit emotional connect with the audience. Remember, ‘Laddu Babu’ where Allari Naresh’s heavy makeup hid the facial expressions.

Though a Hollywood makeup expert was there on the sets of the movie, NTR took up the challenge and did away with the masks. He wanted the roles to be natural and no shortcuts. They had planned with the masks but didn’t use them at all. Good. NTR’s performance is the sole reason to watch the movie, anyway.
