Chandrababu Comes in Support of Pawan Kalyan

The Andhra Pradesh government released a GO overnight, directing that there should be no special shows and no hike in ticket prices, for Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab. This GO has upset both fans and theatre owners in AP.

Addressing this GO, Telugu Desam Party Chief and ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has done this intentionally, to make sure that Vakeel Saab doesn’t get good collections.

Chandrababu said that Pawan is not supporting him, and that he’s supporting BJP, but also said that movies and politics should never be mixed up. This is indeed an interesting statement from Chandrababu, given that he didn’t have to support Pawan, especially when Pawan is not supporting him, but still chose to do so.

On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has stayed the GO passed by the AP government, and gave theatre owners the freedom to charge ticket prices as they deem fit, until Monday.
