Talk Is Good, No Collections – Director Feels Bad

No doubt, ‘Rahul Ravindran’s ‘Chi La Sow‘ has been lauded for the debut director’s attempt at trying something novel and also for coming up with a subject that seems to be simple superficially but very difficult to execute. Almost all the reviews mentioned the same.

Speaking at the success meet of ‘Chi La Sow’, Rahul Ravindran explained in detail the way the movie has got good talk but disappointed collections wise. True. There isn’t anything negative about the movie but it isn’t extraordinary, either. It was expected to work very big in the US but disappointed big time.

The movie has collected a poor sum $115 K, so far. It’s pretty much over in the US. It’s the same in India, as well. Rahul Ravindran spoke elaborately about the disappointing collections despite good reviews and good talk on the movie. If not for the slow-paced narration and a different hero who’s in better phase, it could have really performed far better than it has been doing now.
