Chinmayi Approaches Hyderabad Police After Receiving Morphed Image. Singer and dubbing artiste Chinmayi Sripada contacted Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar after receiving a morphed image on Wednesday evening. She said she had been getting more threatening messages in the past few weeks.
She posted the image with a short note on her social media page and tagged the police at once. Chinmayi said legal action was secondary but the matter needed attention. She also shared a video where she explained that the harassment had gone beyond routine trolling and had started targeting her children.
She expressed concern that her family had been facing strong negativity since her husband, filmmaker and actor Rahul Ravindran, commented on the mangalasutra recently. She said the abusive content increased after that discussion.
In her video, Chinmayi said unknown persons even issued death threats toward her children. She stated that she had already filed police complaints against a few individuals who spoke on Twitter Spaces and made remarks that certain women should not have children and that their children must not survive. She claimed that some participants even supported those comments.
Chinmayi added that she had faced harassment for years but the recent actions crossed all limits. By reaching out to Hyderabad police, she aimed to highlight the growing problem of digital abuse and push for accountability.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement. The complaint is expected to help begin verification and action as per law.
