Chinmayi On Janhvi Kapoor AI Video Row
Singer Chinmayi Sripaada has made a strong statement on the AI-morphed video controversy involving Janhvi Kapoor, and her timing has caught attention.
Jr NTR had earlier reacted strongly to the manipulated Chuttamalle video, calling it “disgusting, sick and shameless” and warning that legal action would be taken against those who created and circulated it. He also urged people not to engage with the video and pointed out that such an incident could happen to “your mother, sister, wife or daughter.”
Chinmayi has now posted about the same larger issue, but with a noticeably different emphasis. She argued that a woman does not need to be someone’s mother, sister or daughter for men to treat her with basic decency. She also questioned the way women continue to face violence and abuse even within their own families.
She did not mention Jr NTR by name in the post. So, there is no direct confirmation that the singer was responding to him. Still, because her post follows his comments on the same AI controversy and directly challenges the “mother, sister, daughter” framing, some may read it as an indirect response.
The focus of Chinmayi’s post, ultimately, is on the treatment of women beyond their relationship to men.
A woman needn’t be anyone’s mother sister daughter for men to behave decently.
Men will beat, and even murder women in their own families if those women’s AI video surfaces.
Men here are dehumanised and hate women.
