Chiranjeevi’s Acharya Gets A Jolt

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently busy shuttling between the sets of many of his films (Bhola Shankar to Godfather). While the actor completes his ongoing projects, his next release is Koratala Siva’s Acharya.

After much dilly-dallying, makers finally announced the theatrical release on February 4, 2022. The makers zeroed in on this date by opting out of jam-packed December and Sankranthi rush to have a solo release.

But now the makers got the jolt from actor Suriya as he announced his next, Etharkkum Thunindhavan (ET) for theatrical release, coinciding with Acharya. His last release in screens was in 2019, thus it will be a feast for Suriya fans with ET.

Suriya also has a good market value in Telugu states. Despite his last theatrical releases didn’t perform well in Telugu states, the actor regained his charm with OTT releases – Aakasam Nee Haddhu Ra and Jai Bhim.

Thus all eyes are on Suriya’s ET now. With two of his films being a huge hit on OTT, expectations are sure to soar on his next. With this, Acharya makers who were confident about no competition have now been put in a fix.
