No Clarity on Timelines, But Tollywood Will Still Take It

Prominent Film Personalities have met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao a little while ago at Pragathi Bhavan. The industry biggies have narrated the Chief Minister about the ordeals of the people dependent on the industry due to the Lockdown.

After listening to them, KCR told that it is the time to restart the industry but at the same time, there is a need to arrest the spread of the Corona. He asked the industry to begin post-production works and in the next phase can begin the shootings from June.

“The decision of opening the theaters can be taken after watching the situation then,” the Chief Minister said. He asked the film personalities to sit with the Chief Secretary and decide modalities that are needed to restart the industry. After that, the official G.O. will be released.

“As things stand today, there are no definite timelines but a step is taken in the direction of restarting the industry. The Chief Minister is sympathetic to the plight of the industry. Hopefully, everything will be normal in a month or two,” a producer said after the meeting.
