Chiru Can Set All Time Record, But…

Megastar Chiranjeevi is in great need of commercial success at the box office, as it has been a while since we last saw him shine to his fullest the box office. One solid film that can quench this thirst is the perspective project with Anil Ravipudi.

Ravipudi earlier delivered a 300 crore grosser in the form of Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam and this is the highest collecting regional film in Tollywood.

Show the collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Anil is naturally going to excite the trade. Both of them have the rich heritage of excelling at the box office during the Sankranthi season.

Though Ravipudi faces virtually endless comments about cringe content in his films, the most important thing is that his films are doing hundreds of crores in revenues. This far supersedes any talk about cringe on social media.

If we add Chiru’s universal acceptable and Ravipudi’s ability to cater to the family audience and festival folk, we have a recipe for a winner.

If things go as planned, this could be the maiden 300 crore film for Chiru as Anil has already proven he can do something like this with his recent Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam. This really is a great prospect for Chiranjeevi.

But with that being said, with the addition of Chiru, there will be an added layer of scrutiny. A simple film like Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam might just not cut it. More is expected from Ravipudi this time around.

Chiranjeevi is currently working on Viswambhara and the stakes on this film are extremely volatile. The shabby teaser undid the hype. So, far better promotional material is expected to be released in order to gain the lost sheen.

But when it comes to Ravipudi, he is a far more experienced director who knows his strengths and will play to them. In most ways, this is exactly the kind of film that Chiru needs at this moment.
