Clarity About Netflix’s Baahubali Web Series

Leading OTT Platform, Netflix has embarked on a web series about Baahubali. It is titled ‘Baahubali – Before The Beginning’. It has started a long while ago but there is no official update about it. There are rumors that a version has been shot and got shelved.

Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru are behind the series and prepared the script for it. As a part of Republic promotions, Deva Katta revealed an update about the web series. “We envisioned to make Baahubali series like Game of Thrones Series. It has taken 10 years of scripts, 10-15 years of the screenplay. There were versions that have been shelved. Baahubali requires similar energy and resources,” Deva Katta said.

“If we watch Game Of Thrones, the first episode will have shots of the last season which will be streamed years later. Baahubali is also on similar lines. So, it is not an easy project. Initially, Netflix is in a hurry to make it. Hence we had to shelve a version. But they are now in line with our vision and are giving time ten times we initially sought,” the director said.

He also added that many directors would work for the project. “The script work is not completely done. Netflix’s internal team is taking care of the project with international technicians. I and Praveen will pitch in whenever we have time,” Deva Katta said.
