Closed Door Meeting: Censor allows ‘Bastard’

Seems the Censor Board of Film Certification is all set to prove that it doesn’t just stick to strict rules but would hereafter think logic and context. The proof comes in the form of approving the cuss word ‘Bastard’ in the upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Brothers’ starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles.

Initially the Censor Board didn’t approve the cuss word and suggested cuts for the word, wherever it is used in the movie. But after a closed door meeting with the director on the importance of using the word in the context, it’s learnt that the director of CBFC Pahlaj Nihalani approved the word to be used twice.

Thus the film makers who think the Censor Board is acting nonsense, can be rest assured. The perception of Censor Board on using cuss words has changed. Needless to say, the film makers would be happy for this attitudinal change.
