Colors Swathi isn’t an Indian?

Telugu Film Industry always welcomed actresses from other States. Actresses like Charmee and Rakul Preet who can speak Telugu fluently are Punjabis; Samantha and Shruti Haasan are Tamilians while Asin and Nitya Menon are Malayalis; to name a few. There is a big brigade of actresses who made it to Tollywood from Mumbai. But here is one actress who came from Russia. Surprised!

The fresh episode of ‘Konchen Touch lo Vunte Chepta’ hosted by popular anchor Pradeep, aired Saturday night was totally entertaining one with guests Swathi Reddy and Allari Naresh having full time fun. More than Allari Naresh, it was Swathi who stole the focus. There were many interesting things that Swathi shared about herself on the show.

Swathi wasn’t born in any one of the Telugu States and for that matter not even in India. She was born in Russia and spent a part of her childhood in Russia when Soviet Union (USSR) existed. She could still remember some Russian words and use them. The anchor turned actress also shocked Telugu audience by branding Malayalam Film Industry (Mollywood) as the best amongst Tollywood, Kollywood and Mollywood. the best part of the show was, both Swathi and Naresh weren’t diplomatic.
