“Yes, I Rejected Selfie Raja”

Did the makers of ‘Selfie Raja’ approach comedian turned hero Sunil initially and then took the script to Allari Naresh? It’s not like that. Initially, a different producer was interested to do the film with Sunil. He showed the Kannada film ‘Victory’ to Sunil which was later remade as ‘Selfie Raja’.

The Kannada film looked similar to his ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’ (BB) which was on sets at that time. He couldn’t talk much about BB which was under production stage. He felt that the climax of BB is similar to the climax of ‘Selfie Raja’s Kannada version and there were other similarities even.

Later, a different producer came on board and got the Telugu remake rights for remaking it as ‘Selfie Raja with Allari Naresh. This is the only film Sunil rejected in the recent times which went to another hero as a remake film. Did you make out the similarities in the climaxes of ‘Selfie Raja’ and Bheemavaram Bullodu’?
