Congress' new experiment in Old City!

Congress Party had taken up a new experiment in Old City of Hyderabad where there are good number of divisions which are crucial in deciding the Mayor of the corporation. Previously Congress during YSR regime made sure there are 40 odd divisions dominated by Muslim voters. All these divisions would go to MIM and make it easy for Congress to win Mayor seat with their support.

MIM is going TRS way after the state bifurcation and the fall out of Congress in 2014 elections. However the main opposition party do not want to take Old City light and so entered in to an alliance with MBT, one more muslim party there.

Congress will be contesting in 135 divisions leaving remaining 15 to MBT now. MBT once used to be a strong party in Old City along with MIM but gradually gone weak with Congress aiding MIM to become a strong force there. Congress now have to charm the snake it bred once!
