Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie is riding a massive wave of hype in both the Telugu and Tamil markets, with excitement peaking as the release date approaches.
Meanwhile, ever since Kuberaa, there’s been an interesting shift online—fans of Akkineni Nagarjuna, who had been relatively quiet for over a decade during his low phase, have found renewed energy after the film’s success.
This resurgence has sparked an unexpected online war with Rajinikanth fans.
A quick look at social media reveals just how silly the fan arguments have become—both sides are now claiming credit for Coolie’s buzz.
Rajinikanth’s fans argue he is the main star and that Nagarjuna only has a limited role, while Nagarjuna’s fans claim it’s his special cameo that’s driving all the attention.
The reality is simple: it’s the Rajinikanth–Lokesh Kanagaraj combo that’s the core reason behind the massive buzz.
But there’s no denying that Nagarjuna’s brief appearance in the promo worked wonders too.
Unfortunately, this fan clash is both unnecessary and absurd.
Rajinikanth still commands massive fanfare in both Telugu and Tamil regions, and when he teams up with a sensational director, the impact is naturally huge—and Coolie is proof of that.
As for Nagarjuna, expectations are more restrained since he’s playing an anti-hero role.
It will all come down to how Lokesh Kanagaraj presents him.
If Nagarjuna nails the negative character in this high-octane action setup, it could be a powerful comeback moment for him after a drama based role in Kuberaa.
