Coolie Makers Intentionally Targeting WAR 2

From the very beginning, it appears that the makers of Coolie have been intentionally fuelling the War 2 vs Coolie clash to their advantage. Every time War 2 unveils a poster, drops a song, or makes any announcement, Coolie quickly follows up with its own promotional move, keeping the rivalry alive in the public eye.

While Coolie seems to be actively building hype around this face-off, YRF, the studio behind War 2, has remained unbothered. The team has made no counter moves and is sticking to its original marketing plan, even creating less pre-release buzz than usual.

The key battleground for both films lies in the South. The YRF Spy Universe has struggled to make a big impact there, though War 2 benefits from NTR Jr.’s strong following in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Meanwhile, Coolie holds a natural edge with the powerful combination of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth, which has already led to huge advance bookings in the South.

For YRF, this is not a sprint but a marathon, and both films are set to make August feel like a grand cinematic festival.
