Despite a direct clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s War 2 on August 14, the film is witnessing an impressive response, hinting at a massive overseas opening.
Rajinikanth’s star power in international markets, particularly in North America, remains unmatched. His last outing, Jailer, grossed close to $6.8 million (Rs. 59+ crore) in the US, setting a new benchmark for Kollywood films.
The early signs for Coolie suggest that it could match or even surpass Jailer’s performance, which would be remarkable given the intense box office clash.
