Coolie wrapped filming in March 2025 in which Rajini plays a character named Deva. Lokesh has clarified that Coolie is not part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which includes Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo, giving him freedom to build a fresh, standalone world.
