Court And Dilruba Day 1: How’d They Go?

The Tollywood box surface witnessed, not one, but two notable releases this weekend in the form of Court and Dilruba. Both the films released on March 14, and coincidentally, both of them had premier shows a day before.

Coming to the box office side of things, Court has opened to a surprisingly big number according to the latest reports. It is being communicated that the film could collect over ₹7 crore gross on the opening day(including premieres in India).

The film has opened on a pretty good note in the United States as well by collecting $278,000 in total till now. This is a pretty strong number for a film that has a rather young star cast.

The credibility of Nani as a producer is on full display here as his presence as the producer itself is working the trick for this film.

On the other hand, we have Dilruba, which turned out to be a non-starter at the box office. The film was essentially promoted as a commercial entertainer, but it could not pull the masses to the theatre.

The situation is expectedly poor in the United States as the film collected around $7800 till now. It is a complete non-starter in the United States market as well.

Going by the early reports this weekend, we have one winner in the form of Court, while the other new release, Dilruba is struggling to post mention worthy numbers.
