The horror genre is set for a major shake-up with Final Destination Bloodlines, a film that could surprise everyone at the box office.
After a 14-year gap, the Final Destination franchise is making a comeback, and early buzz suggests it could be one of 2025’s biggest hits.
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for the film, which arrives in theaters and IMAX on May 16, 2025. Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, this sixth installment follows Stefanie (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) as she tries to break a deadly cycle that has haunted her family for generations. The film also stars Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd in his final role.
The trailer promises a return to the franchise’s signature suspense and shocking death sequences.
One standout moment features a tattoo artist (played by Harmon) caught in a terrifying chain of events, hinting at the film’s intense and unpredictable nature.
Written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with a story by Jon Watts, the film is produced by Watts, Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich.
With horror franchises performing exceptionally well in recent years, Final Destination Bloodlines has all the ingredients for a massive box office run.
If early reactions are any indication, this could be one of the year’s biggest surprises.
