Deepika’s unique record leaves SRK, Salman far behind

Heroine Deepika Padukone has had a stunning year so far commercially and has in the process achieved a unique and rare feat that not even the reining stars of Bollywood have. Deepika Padukone has now got four consecutive 100 Cr movies with in a single year. What this simply is that all her films released this year Race 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani, Chennai Express and Ramleela have crossed the 100 Cr mark at the box office. Among those four films two films Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani and Chennai Express have grossed more than 150 Cr respectively. This is a stunning achievement by any standards.

In the past Bollywood star Salman Khan has got four consecutive 100 days films in the form of Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger but these films were set over a period of three years. Similarly Shah Rukh Khan too has had four consecutive 100 Cr films like Ra.one, Don 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Chennai Express but these films again are spread over three years. This should now make how remarkable the feat Deepika Padukone achieved has been.
