Despite Disastrous Debut, Actress Bagging Big Films

Akhil Akkineni’s Agent was a colossal disaster in each and every department. The film’s heroine, Sakhi Vaidya, who was hyped a lot by producer Anil Sunkara before release, also received severe brickbats from the audience.

After seeing the film, everyone criticized Sakshi for being non-heroine material and lacking minimum screen presence. Many thought her career would be over as no producer would offer her roles as heroine after Agent.

But as luck would have it, Sakshi Vaidya is back in Tollywood with her second film. She is starring opposite Varun Tej in this week’s release Gaandeevadhari Arjuna directed by Praveen Sattaru. Not only that, she is also doing the second lead opposite none other than Pawan Kalyan in Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

Sakshi is lucky that she is getting a second chance in the industry. Rarely an actor gets another chance after a disastrous debut. If she can prove her mettle in these two films, it would be great not only for her but also for the Telugu industry, which is lacking good heroines these days.
